Why we exist
Hunger doesn't just gnaw at the stomach. It weighs on the heart, mind, and soul. When you're unsure how to feed your family, focusing on school, work, faith, or the future is nearly impossible. In our neighborhoods, families are quietly struggling, making impossible choices between food, bills, and stability. No one should choose between feeding their kids and paying their bills.
At 5 Loaves Ministries, we see hunger as a starting point, not a stopping point. We step into the gap with food, dignity, and a steady presence because when people are fed, seen, and supported, they also begin to see themselves differently. We exist to bring comfort today and confidence for tomorrow.
Our mission is to care for people by meeting immediate needs and walking with families toward long-term stability. Through weekly food distribution, one-on-one mentorship, and wraparound support, we help our neighbors move from crisis to confidence in themselves, the plan, and their Creator. From the moment they receive their service to the day they give back, we walk with families every step of the way.

We imagine a Sachse where no family falls through the cracks, help comes early, and community means something more profound. 5 Loaves Ministries began as a small outreach of North Pointe Church of Christ in Sachse, Texas. What started with 10 families has grown into a thriving nonprofit serving over 800 families each week. As the needs in our community grew, so did our commitment. Today, we provide food relief, childcare essentials, educational support, and mentoring, all rooted in compassionate care.
But we haven't lost our personal touch. Whether someone needs a box of groceries or a trusted place to ask for help, we're here to serve with open arms, listening ears, and consistent follow-through.
