Food Pantry
Fighting hunger. Feeding hope.
Food insecurity doesn't always look like what you expect. It might be a single mom skipping dinner so her kids can eat, or a retired couple stretching their budget to make it through the month. Here in Sachse, families quietly face impossible choices between food, housing, medicine, and utilities, many suffering in silence.
That's where we come in.
At 5 Loaves Ministries, we believe no one should go hungry in our community. Our food pantry is the heartbeat of our mission — providing weekly groceries to hundreds of families, with no strings attached. Whether someone needs help this week or long-term support, we're here with open arms, full hearts, and fresh food.
What we offer
Fresh produce
Shelf-stable pantry items
Proteins and dairy (as available)
Occasional household essentials
Verbal income verification is required as well as proof of address for those in the Sachse area community. If you’re a new client, you must reside in one of the following cities: Sachse, Garland, Wylie, Murphy, Richardson, or Rowlett.
We're proud to be a North Texas Food Bank partner, which allows us to stretch every dollar and serve more families.
Why it matters
- 1 in 4 children in Dallas County face food insecurity
- 1 in 6 Texans struggles to afford enough food
- Most families we serve are working households quietly in need
We believe food is foundational. When people are fed, they can heal, grow, and rebuild their lives with confidence.
"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me."
— Matthew 25:35 (ESV)
