Community Garden

Where growth begins with giving

5 Loaves Ministries, together with the Sachse Lions Club, believes that hope grows when people come together—hands in the soil, hearts in the mission. That's the spirit behind our Community Garden.

This volunteer-led space does more than produce fruits and vegetables. It nourishes bodies, builds connections, and teaches neighbors of all ages what it means to plant, tend, and harvest purposefully. Whether you're an experienced gardener or a first-time volunteer, there's a place for you in our rows.

Why it matters

Fresh produce shouldn't be a luxury. For many families experiencing food insecurity, fruits and vegetables are the first items cut when budgets are tight. Our garden helps close that gap—adding nutrition, color, and dignity to every food box we distribute.

It's also a place where students, seniors, and families can serve together. Alongside the harvest, we're growing confidence, community, and care.
